Corporate Collaboration

We were so excited when we were contacted by Bender & Company CPAs to tackle their brand new office building in St. Louis.  We started from the ground up to build this open concept work space with a neutral palate and cleans lines.  We know that lots of success will come from this bright new work environment!

Raise the Bar

Sky high cabinet storage, granite counters, and plenty of wine cubbies really upgraded this clients home bar.  We removed the college dorm fridge and upgraded with a built in stainless version.

We hope we are invited back soon to enjoy the view and the cold drinks! Cheers

Powder Room Makeover

Height makes all the difference in this powder room makeover.  The comfort height vanity and gorgeous marble counter top make this a room you really want to powder your nose in.  We also love the idea of using a framed mirror to add another touch of personal style.

South County Face Lift

The key to making a client happy is to listen to them from the very beginning.  This client was really wanting to keep their Casual Country style but with an updated and custom feel.  Pairing the cherry cabinets and the large bright island really gives a clean fresh look.  We really wanted the kitchen to transition easily with the rest of the home decor and color scheme.

1990's Kitchen Renovation

We took a great open concept kitchen and updated it from the dark 1990s finishes and brought it it back to life.  Removing wall paper and updating counter tops and cabinets can create a whole new look and feel without blowing your budget.  Repurposing the unused desk area in this kitchen into a sleek wine bar with extra storage was a great addition to the space.

Ballwin Kitchen Renovation

We had a blast working with our good friend and client on this Ballwin kitchen overhaul.  The main purpose of this undertaking was to bring back function into this space.  We removed the wall where the old 1970s ovens were originally placed and repurposed this space with new appliances and extra custom cabinet storage.  Clean white cabinets and beautiful countertops made this kitchen seem larger and more open.  We love how it turned out!

Kirkwood Kitchen Renovation

This Kirkwood home contained original builder-grade white foil-wrapped cabinets and a work space that was not user-friendly.  As part of the renovation, the client desired improved overall work space functionality as well as increased storage space.

The rearranged layout of the kitchen improves functionality by placing appliances in easy-to-reach locations as well as allowing for extra space at the extended counter and added eat-in bar area.  The renovation includes an overall update with custom cabinets, granite countertops, high-end appliances, and a marble backsplash.  The final product exhibits a rich, clean look and is polished off with soft paint tones and custom crown molding.

Pine T.V. Cabinet

After receiving a shocking estimate of over $900 from a custom furniture refinisher, McClain Design decided to tackle refurbishing this 30 year old pine cabinet independently.  This amazing transformation is the result of some sand paper, less than $150 worth of black spray paint, and the willingness to try!

Chesterfield Master Bathroom Renovation

After residing in their Chesterfield home for almost twenty years, the homeowners sought an update to their outdated master bathroom.  The early 90s low counters, boxy bathtub, and wall-to-wall vanity mirrors no longer fit the designer upgrades made to the rest of their home.  They desired the look of a Ritz Carlton master suite: luxurious feel, romantic ambiance, upscale fixtures, clean lines, and timeless design.

In order to achieve the clients’ wishes, the current bathroom had to be overhauled, using the same foot print.  The most major undertakings proved to be the removal of the boxy tiled platform tub to open up floor space as well as re-routing plumbing to accommodate the stand-alone bathtub and multiple fixtures within the shower.

The tranquil paint on the walls set the soothing pallet for the room. Incorporating 12"x24" marble tile floors and shower walls, a seamless shower, a free-standing air bathtub, taller custom cherry cabinetry, and marble countertops allowed an ambient suite to take shape.  The gallery style lighting, polished nickel fixtures, custom wainscoting, and a full-length beveled mirrored medicine cabinet added features that create the luxurious feel desired by the client.
